To celebrate the 40th Folkestone 10 mile race, Folkestone Running & Athletics Club are delighted that Mike Gratton will be starting this year’s race.
Mike won the 1983 London Marathon in a time of 2.09.43, but also won the first Folkestone 10 in 1984 in 49.38, won again in 1985 in 48.45, and again in 1988 in 49.46. Paul Larkins came within 2 seconds of the record in 1989, but Mike’s 1985 record of 48.45 still stands today.
